Wget command with MacOS?

Post by Rosie93 »

I'm stuck with this problem " the exclusion of the wget command", Im using Pycharm on macOS.
when using the wget command I get multiple errors regarding the failed certification. I have tried numerous solution online including installing the certificate command shell in the python folder but the problem persists.

-when trying to download and image I tried deleting the letter 's' from 'http' and it works but when working with CSV files even when deleting letter 's'
it does NOT work.

\\\\\\ Code\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

import wget

file= wget.download( " URL " )

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

- there is someone who suggested two lines of code to remove the certificate but this is risky.

anyone encountered this problem and found a solution?

Thanks for your question.

If you are on a regular computer (i.e. like Mac, Windows, or Linux that has a GUI) then you can just download the file normally using your web browser.

Command line downloading (e.g. wget) is only used when we like to have the convenience of being able to download a file programmatically.
